It's a great place to come any time of day for a quick coffee between meetings or a leisurely afternoon snack with friends, a snack between meals or for either a spontaneous meal or to pay tribute to fine dining. It's something you shouldn't miss.

It's been 40 years since Carlos Cámara started his adventure in the Ensanche of Bilbao. Over the years, countless stories have been experienced here, from births to friendships forged over laughter and uncorking bottles or professional success, Athletic Bilbao victories or an afternoon snack with the aitites.

Coinciding with when his grandson Carlos took the reins, a renovation of the Abando was begun, with the priority of maintaining its unique identity, that would become a before and after in the restaurant's stories.
